Emma Grace- Week 2:

Monday: Jordan got up and took Ava Joy to school. When he got back we went on walk together. I am so loving this time with him. After we picked up Ava Joy we went outside and played with her new sidewalk chalk paint. Later that afternoon we all went and tried out the new West Orange Creamery- it was delicious. Our sweet friend Amanda brought us dinner and it was amazing! Jordan and I snuggled Emma Grace and watched Eddie the Eagle that night. (I wouldn't recommend it...)

Tuesday: When Ava Joy was at school Jordan and I went on a breakfast date (with Emma Grace obviously) to Dixie Cream Cafe. Later in the afternoon we took the family over to Becks Brothers Blueberry Farm. I wore Emma Grace and we all collected blueberries. When we got home we went on a short family walk. Emma Grace loves being in the stroller- as long as it is moving. After that Auntie Andrea brought us 33 and Melt for dinner and hung out for awhile. Jordan and I started watching X-Men Apocalypse.

Wednesday: Emma Grace has not been sleeping at night by herself well at all- which is normal I know. The thing is during the day she'll go down like a champ. This morning after Ava Joy was at school I put her down and she stayed down for over 2 hours. Jordan and I both got some sleep. We even had to wake her up to change her and feed her to pick up Ava Joy. After we picked up Ava Joy we asked where she wanted to go for lunch- she randomly picked Cracker Barrel. Emma Grace slept the whole time. When we got home Jordan and Ava Joy headed to the arcade and Auntie Boo stopped by to visit Emma Grace and I. Cori came by and brought us Wawa- her own taste of Philly in Florida. I ventured out on my own for the first time with Emma Grace and took her to small group- she snuggled in my arms and slept the whole time.

Thursday: We picked up Ava Joy from school and anxiously awaited Memaw and Papa's return from Africa. They arrived and shared all about their trip and snuggled on sweet Emma Grace and Ava Joy as well. We went on a family walk altogether. Later in the evening Jordan and I took Emma Grace and ran some errands. Papa cooked a delicious pasta dinner for us. Daddy gave Emma Grace a bottle for the first time. 

Friday: Jordan got up and took Ava Joy to school- it was Donuts for Dad morning. Then when he got home we went with my parents and Emma Grace to the Farmers Market. They surprised Ava Joy and picked her up from school. Auntie Bergen, Ashley, and Evie came later in the day. Evie was so cute finally getting to meet her for the first time since she had a cold when she was born. The little girls played so well all afternoon. We walked to the park later in the evening. Emma Grace got a sponge bath at the end of the day.

Saturday: This past night Emma Grace had the best night of sleep so far. She went down for 3 2 hour stretches and one one hour stretch all by herself. When we got up in the morning we got ready for family day at the Y. Ava Joy had a fun time! We had a relaxing afternoon. My friend Serena brought us dinner. Then Ava Joy and I spent a little mommy one on one time and went on a nice evening walk together. Jordan and I watched Avengers together after Ava Joy went to sleep.

Sunday: We got up and went to church. I wore Emma Grace again and she slept the whole service. After church we ran a few errands- picked up her birth announcements and ballet stuff for Ava Joy's first dance experience. My friend Melinda came by to meet Emma Grace and give her snuggles. Jordan went to workout and I took both girls out on a walk for the first time by myself. Then we went to dinner at Mesa 21 (delicious!) and got Brusters afterward. Jordan and I finished up watching Avengers. Emma Grace probably had her worst night of sleep since she was born- poor baby wanted the boob all night and just seemed frustrated. :(

Overall...

Sleeping: Inconsistent- had a 3 hour stretch, one night with 3 2 hour stretches, and then one night where she didn't go down at all by herself.
Breastfeeding: Going well, very sore, but she loves the boob. Taking a bottle well and working on pumping and storing what I can.
Overall disposition: Calm and peaceful- starting to be more alert. When she gets pissed though- she gets pissed!
