Week 17, 18 & 19

Week 17, 18 & 19

My Princess is growing and changing so very fast. She is laughing and giggling all the time now. She is sitting up, rolling constantly, and trying to scoot around. She seems to have a very silly personality and we are enjoying every second of it. We took her to the pumpkin patch but she wasn't too into it. I am sure next year she will have more fun! We also took Ava Joy to Epcot! She did so awesome. I wasn't quite sure how the day was going to go. They have a baby center there with changing tables and a breastfeeding room. She took 3 naps throughout the day in her stroller, ate 3 times, and rode in her stroller most of the day. She did ride in the carrier at the very end of the day. We also saw Hanson in concert which of course Jordan was extra excited about (HAH!). I must say I was quite surprised with the number of devout Hanson fans there still are. I mean woa. We also took Ava Joy on Spaceship Earth (the big golf ball) which is slow moving but dark. Well she started freaking out. Luckily I've got this awesome thing to stop her from crying called the boob! The little carts are just perfectly private so she got a nice little snack on her ride. :)

Somehow my Baby turned 4 months old. It's still hard for me to believe. Her doctor was very surprised at how strong she is and how she is sitting up and already trying to crawl. She said she was very advanced and doing things that her 7 month old isn't even doing yet. Yup, that's my "advanced" girl. :) She weighed in at 13 pounds, 13 ounces (50th percentile) and 24.9 inches (75th percentile). This child is the best part of every day!

Ava Joy also got to experience her first Halloween. She dressed up as the most adorable elephant! ever. I could hardly stand it she was so precious! We took pictures and sat outside and passed out candy. I already have costume plans in mind for next year!

On the saddest note ever... I return to work Monday. My days of being a stay at home mommy have come to an end. (Hopefully only temporarily.) I am beyond upset and depressed about leaving my precious Princess but luckily I do have a job that I love, coworkers that are family, and kids that will put a smile on my face. If you read this please say a prayer for my Baby Girl that this transition goes smoothly for her. I'm starting to fall apart just writing this so for now I plan to cuddle my Ava Joy for the entire weekend and soak in every second I have with her.

And back to a happy note, here are pictures from the past few weeks:

Week 16

Week 16

After living in Orlando for the past 5+ years, living literally 10 minutes from the back entrance to Disney and free tickets to pretty much every theme park (perks of Jordan's job) it is safe to say we don't really act like tourists. Instead it's more of... "oh look at those people" comments we seem to make. Well no matter how many times I have been to Disney apparently when you have a kid it doesn't matter! Anddd we only took Ava Joy to Downtown Disney. We were the obnoxious picture taking people and it was soooo FUN! We also bought her a Minnie Mouse that she loves. Jordan found one of those light up spinny things that she became fixated on so we bought that too. It is an excellent baby crying stopper in the car. At least when Jordan's driving and I can sit in the back and push the button for her to watch. :) In a week and a half we are planning to take her to Epcot. Yep, that means more crazy picture taking and waiting in lines to see the characters! And to think this is only going to get more fun Ava Joy gets bigger and starts to really love all of it!

Tuesday was Jordan and I's 10 year dating anniversary. We decided to celebrate by going out to eat at Bonefish with our baby in tow (of course!). I have only left Ava Joy twice so far (both times with Jordan) once for 4 hours and the other about 2 hours. I am spazzing out about returning to work. I feel like I am never going to want to leave Ava Joy for a date night or anything else voluntarily since I am going to have to leave her for work. I know it's important for Jordan and I to spend time together so we've been making an effort to spend quality time as a couple in the evening when Ava Joy goes to sleep. I'm very glad my hubby understands!

This week Ava Joy also mastered the gorilla sit. She can sit very well with her arms helping her stay propped up. She stays steady for quite a while.... but the second her hands come off the ground she starts tipping over. It's all so cute. I just love my little gorilla!

Weeks 13, 14 & 15

Weeks 13, 14 & 15

We've been busy these past couple weeks! Ava Joy is growing and changing faster than ever. We are soaking in and enjoying every minute of it! I make sure we have days where I just sit around and hold her and play with her all day long- no errands, nothing but good, quality time (today just happened to be one of these days!) :)

Here are some highlights of what we've been up to the past few weeks:

Auntie Pie and Uncle Justin came to spend the weekend with us a couple of weeks ago. Ava Joy LOVES them both soooooo much.

We took a trip to Gainesville for cousin Emily's first birthday. I can't believe she is already a year old! These babies need to stop this whole growing up thing they keep doing.

I took another day trip up to Gainesville for Auntie Blair's senior night for vollleyball. Ava Joy is getting lots of experience riding in the car on road trips. Some trips I must say are better than others but hopefully she is getting the hang of it.

Ava Joy is working on sitting up. Right now she just looks like a gorilla and leans over forward with her hands on the ground. She is so observant and just soaks everything in. She is obsessed with her taggy blanky and also has found a new affection for her ducky pacifier- which we are going to be calling Larry (thanks Auntie Bergen)!

I know there is probably tons more I should include in this post to make up for the past 3 weeks but for now I'm going to go play with my Muffin. ;)
