Week 6

Week 6

As time continues to fly I fall more and more in love with my baby girl everyday. It is so neat to see Ava Joy's personality continue to develop. She is so alert! She just takes everything in!

Last Saturday I had a wedding to go to of a good friend I work with. I had asked my parents to come watch Ava Joy thinking sure she'd be 5 weeks old and I could leave her. HAH! About that... luckily my parents are wonderful and they drove around the neighborhoods close by so I could go to the ceremony and not technically leave her. It was also great because a bunch of my school friends got to see Ava Joy after the ceremony. It was nice seeing my family for the weekend too!

Tuesday I had my 6 week follow up with my doctor and was all cleared! Tuesday night I went on my first jog! I went for 2 miles but it took almost 30 minutes so obviously I'm going SLOW! Slow or not it felt great to be out there again! Wednesday morning I took Ava Joy with me jogging. I have a jogging stroller but she's not big enough for that yet so for now I'm using my Britax stroller and it is working great. Baby girl is happy as long as we are in motion, but as soon as I stop she starts crying. It makes the whole showering thing after running quite difficult. I take a 2 second shower, dress as fast as I can, and pick up my crying baby and stick her on the boob. This makes everything better. I'm hoping to start Jillian Michaels 30 day shred soon- the only problem is getting Ava Joy to be out of my arms for 20 minutes so I can... If not at least I can jog with her for now. I can't wait to be back in shape!

Ava Joy has continued to sleep great. She sleeps for about 6 hours, wakes up and eats, and goes back to sleep for another 3 hours. I am starting to feel human again. I'm so thankful for her Snuza monitor that monitors her breathing for my own paranoia. I'm pretty sure I wouldn't be sleeping if it wasn't for that!

We have also had fun watching the Olympics this week. Jordan and I tell her how she's going to be a star athlete one day. I've told her I'd prefer basketball or volleyball. Only time will tell.

We have also had quite a few pooptastic days this week- Thursday topping out the blowouts at 4! I don't know where all this poop comes from in such a tiny little thing!

Here are some pictures from our week:
